Four things, in the order you need them
Sync the menu first so sales have something to land on. After that, sales sync is the only step you repeat.
Products and categories
Your HangPopok menu becomes BasilBook sale items, grouped by the categories you already set up. Matching is by name and case-insensitive, so a second sync updates rather than duplicates. Free on every plan.
Sales invoices
Every voucher, with its lines, discounts and totals. HangPopok caps a query at 30 days; BasilBook splits a longer range into chunks and loops, so you can ask for a year and let it work.
Payment method per sale
Cash, card and bank amounts come from HangPopok's payments data rather than being guessed from the voucher. A QR sale is recognised as a QR sale — which is what lets a bank receipt find the sale it settles.
Staff and delivery channels
Sellers become staff records and delivery platforms are created as they appear, so a first sync on a new workspace does not need an afternoon of manual setup first.

You need an owner or manager role in BasilBook, and an API token from HangPopok.

Ask HangPopok for a GraphQL API token
Their support team issues it. It is tied to your store, and it is the only credential BasilBook needs.

Paste your store name
The subdomain from your HangPopok URL — the bit before .hangpopok.com. One subdomain is one store, which is one BasilBook workspace.

Press Test connection
A successful test means the token works and the store resolves. Nothing is imported yet.

Sync products, then sales
Products first so sales have items to attach to. Pick a date range for sales and press sync; the journals are posted as the invoices land.
Then stop pressing the button
Choose a cadence and BasilBook pulls sales on its own. Each run re-reads the last three days rather than resuming from a bookmark — a tab opened before midnight and paid the next morning belongs to the morning, and an amended voucher needs correcting rather than ignoring. Re-reading is free: a sale already imported is skipped. If the token is ever revoked, the schedule pauses itself after five failures and tells you, instead of retrying into the dark.
What it does to your books
Every sale becomes a journal entry
You never write one. The entry is posted at the moment the invoice imports, and it balances or it does not post.
Revenue, split the way you sell
Dine-in and each delivery platform post to their own revenue accounts, and tax is separated out — so you can see what you actually earn per channel instead of one blended Sales line.
Cash where the money really is
A card sale debits the bank. A cash or QR sale debits Cash on Hand and stays there until a bank receipt settles it — which is the point of reconciliation, and why guessing the payment method would quietly break it.
Cost of sales, if you want it
Under recipe costing, a sale also consumes its ingredients and posts the cost against it. Under stock count, cost lands at your count. Under direct costing, purchases expense on the way in. Your setting, not ours.

The things people ask first
Does BasilBook change anything in HangPopok?
No. The integration only reads. Nothing BasilBook does can alter a voucher, a product or a price in your POS.
What happens if I sync the same days twice?
Nothing bad. Sales are matched on the invoice number HangPopok issued, so an invoice already in BasilBook is skipped rather than imported again. That is what makes automatic sync safe to leave running.
Can I import last year?
Yes. HangPopok refuses a query longer than 30 days, so BasilBook splits your range into 30-day windows and works through them, aggregating the result. You ask for the range you want.
Which parts need Pro?
Products and categories sync on the free plan. Sales sync — and therefore automatic sync — is a Pro feature, at $39.99 a month or $399 a year per location.
I have two branches. Do I need two workspaces?
Yes, and that is deliberate. One HangPopok subdomain is one store, and one BasilBook workspace is one location, so each branch keeps its own books, its own stock and its own reports.
