Make the Dashboard Yours
The dashboard is the first screen you open every day. Now it can open on the numbers you actually look at, in the order you read them.
One dashboard does not fit everyone
An owner opens the dashboard to see whether the week is on track. A manager opens it to see what is still unpaid. A kitchen lead opens it to see what was wasted.
The same cards in the same order serve none of them well. Each person scrolls past what they do not need to reach what they do, every single morning.
So each person now arranges their own. The figures do not change, and neither do the books: only which cards you see, where they sit and how wide they are.
Arranging the cards
Press Customize at the top of the dashboard.
- Move — Drag a card by its name. The others make room around it.
- Resize — Drag a card's right edge to make it wider or narrower. The arrows on each card do the same from the keyboard.
- Hide — Press the eye icon on a card. Hidden cards wait in a tray above the grid; press one to bring it back.
- Save — Press Save. Reset to standard puts every card back in its original place and size.
On a narrow screen you can show and hide cards, but moving and resizing needs a wider window.
Adding the chart you need
Add widget lists every chart your dashboard does not show yet.
- Expense breakdown — Where the money went in the period, by cost and expense account. A parent account never counts its sub-accounts twice.
- Payables by vendor — Who you owe, largest first, as of today.
- Receivables aging — What customers owe you and how late it is, for businesses that invoice.
- Analytics charts — Any chart you pinned from Analytics. It follows the dashboard's period, so the dashboard always shows one period.
A new widget joins at the bottom of the grid; drag it where you want it.
Choosing the day it opens on
Under Open the dashboard on, pick Today, Yesterday, This week, Last week or This month.
A café that closes late may want Yesterday: the first thing worth reading in the morning is how last night ended, not the two coffees sold since opening.
It is only where the dashboard starts. You can still switch periods once it is open.
Yours alone, on Professional
Your layout is yours: each colleague keeps their own, in each workspace.
- Professional — Arranging and saving a layout is part of the Professional plan. On Free the button is shown, and the standard dashboard is used.
- If the plan changes — A saved layout is kept untouched. Upgrade again and it comes back exactly as you left it.
- In the mobile app — Edit dashboard shows, hides, reorders and adds the same widgets.
