Introducing Bill&Go, Our Own POS
We built a point of sale in Phnom Penh for the cafés and restaurants around us. Every paid order reaches BasilBook within a minute — no import, no schedule, no spreadsheet.
Meet Bill&Go
BasilBook was born in a real restaurant, Beef & Basil. So was the question that comes right after the books: what about the till?
Every POS we connected to had to be asked for its sales — every hour or every six, three days at a time. It works, but your books always trail your counter a little, and every POS is one more connection to keep alive. So we built the till ourselves.
Bill&Go is a point of sale for restaurants, cafés and noodle shops, made in Phnom Penh by the same team as BasilBook. It runs in any web browser, has a Free plan for a small shop, and lives at billandgo.app.
At the counter
Bill&Go is made for the way a counter here actually works: a bill priced in riel, paid in dollars, and the change coming back in both.
- Orders — at the counter, at the table or by phone.
- Tickets — the kitchen ticket to the kitchen, the bill to the counter, the cup sticker to the label printer.
- Riel and dollars — change worked out in whole dollars and riel at your shop's own rate.
- Shifts — each one closes with a count of the drawer in both moneys.
- Branches — every branch keeps its own menu, staff, tables and stock, managed from one dashboard.
In your books, within a minute
Because we make both sides, the till does not wait to be asked.
Every minute, Bill&Go sends BasilBook what was paid since the last minute. Each order becomes a sale on the day it was paid, with a balanced journal entry: revenue, the right account for cash, QR or card, its dishes as sale items, and the cashier as a staff record. Discounts, the delivery fee and VAT land where they belong, and the lines of every sale add up to exactly what the customer paid — which is what lets a QR payment captured from your bank match the sale it paid for.
A refund never deletes anything. Bill&Go sends a void, and BasilBook reverses the sale's journal entry and puts back what the sale used, so the original stays in the history beside its reversal. Nothing is lost on a bad connection either: an order that cannot be sent waits in Bill&Go's queue and goes again.
What it costs
Bill&Go and BasilBook each have their own plans.
Bill&Go has a Free plan for a small shop. Sending orders to BasilBook needs Bill&Go Starter or above on the shop, and Professional on the BasilBook workspace — the same plan that syncs HangPopok and Loyverse.
BasilBook keeps books per location, so each branch is its own workspace with its own key and its own order prefix. That is what tells you which branch is earning.
Coming soon
The till and the dashboard run in any web browser today. Three things are on their way.
- Bill&Go POS app — the till on tablets and phones, taking orders and cash payments even when the internet drops, and sending them on once it is back.
- Bill&Go Console app — your shop on your phone for owners and managers, with a notification when an order or a printer needs you.
- Bill&Go Printing Core — a small box that prints for the shop with no computer.
None of it changes the connection: whichever device takes the order, every paid order still reaches BasilBook within a minute.
